THE BLOND ON A TRIKKE!

No doubt you've noticed that the quality of my video clip is rather poor... It was filmed using a telephone - can't expect much, can you? However, the guy who sold the contraption to me noticed ALL the mistakes I made in assembling it! There wasn't much to put together but I managed to do EVERYTHING in reverse! I think it's a special talent one should be proud of! I put it down to my "mirror vision" and being ambidextrous... (not knowing my right from my left?- definition of ambidextrous...)
I think that Tomasz is simply amazing to be able to tell where I went wrong from that fuzzy image. So as soon as he noticed the outcome of my handy work he rung me on my mobile (catching me on a down-hill) and told me to start assembling the TRIKKE again! This time I got it right.
Now the weather is playing up a little - the rains are stopping me from raging on the streets of Lublin. But the next week promises the return of Summer.-

HUMANITARIAN AID...

... for all the tax-return forms fillers...

...a tummy filler!

MR. TOAD AND HIS NEW TOY.

I am going to try a new contraption known as TRIKKE. Watch this space! No pictures so far but there soon will be!

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER....

The weather... a rather mundane subject. But not when, suddenly, tornadoes appear in Poland! Nobody heard Dorothy saying "it ain't Lublin anymore"...
It makes one stop and think how weather patterns change and change swiftly. Did you know that in twenty years' time about two million people will be homeless, moreover- countryless, due to the global warming which will cause the disappearance of their little islands?!
Personally I want the winter to be exceptionally mild - this way I might have my house built... Maybe I shouldn't bother anyway - soon it will be warm enough to stay in my motor home all year round. That is a thought...

HARD TIMES ON CHOOKS.

Mari's place... my place... I hoped to be able to tell you about how the building of my place is progressing. Well, it's not.- The architect is fuffing around with the plans - not making them in promised time.
People here appear not to have any professional ethics nor sense of decency. This not only applies to the afore mentioned architect but also to the others involved in the design of the house.
I might just decide that I am perfectly happy in my present house. If only I could have my dream chooks here... and couple of dogs more... and a pony... couple of goats and A COUPLE OF CATS!
I could have the extra dogs and cats here I guess, but it would be hard to give up the dream of the rare chooks' breeds. The alternative is to look for a "ready made" house. But you would never be able to get exactly what you want and the thought about any alterations or improvements makes me shiver. All the good and honest workmen are washing up the dishes in pubs of London or Dublin...

...the nights are quite cool now - started the knitting! First the socks, the jumpers later...

The Lotus Eaters.

After much trouble with getting my lotus rhizomes - finally a few leaves appeared! No sign of flowers yet... and I don't think that we shall see any this year. Already the Autumn is tangible in the winds despite the tropical humidity of some days. The nights are noticeably cooler. I only hope that the rhizomes will survive the winter well and will start anew in the Spring.
I will be the happiest person in the world when they will flower... just one - to start with! I started them too late in the year. It took too long for them to get to me. Keep your fingers crossed that in the Spring I will have new, huge plants!
...it is not easy ....
